About The Event

For the unique and intimate setting of our gallery, George has put together an exceptionally personal and distinctive set of acoustic music, celebrating his thirty-plus years of songwriting. By featuring some of the very first songs he ever composed, and spanning through to his most recent catalog, George will highlight how his compositional approach and style has changed (and how it hasn’t!) over the years.


About George Hrab

Best known in his home town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania as the longtime drummer for The Philadelphia Funk Authority, George Hrab is also an accomplished guitarist, pianist, and songwriter; having written and released nine albums—[sic] , Minutæ, Vitriol, Coelacanth, Interrobang, Trebuchet, 21812, Terpsichore, and Stocking Stuffer—plus a full-length, live concert film. His funny, clever, and often thought-provoking songs draw on a panoply of styles and influences ranging from Ellington’s A-Train to Zappa’s Zombie Woof.
